Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Engineer with a Level 2 or higher NETA certification to join a leading provider of electrical testing, maintenance, and engineering services. This role involves performing a variety of electrical testing and commissioning services, ensuring the integrity and reliability of electrical systems for a range of established clients. We are hiring for a range of levels, from NETA 2 to 4 so if you have a NETA certification please apply now to be considered for any of those roles.
We are hiring in Texas, Ohio and on positions across the entire US, we also support traveling techs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical testing and maintenance of power systems, including transformers, switchgear, protective relays, circuit breakers, and other electrical apparatus.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Interpret complex electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Lead and supervise testing and commissioning projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, documenting test results, findings, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other team members to ensure successful project execution.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Stay updated with industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies in electrical testing and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- NETA Level 3 Certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical testing, maintenance, and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, including transformers, switchgear, protective relays, and circuit breakers.
- Proficient in using electrical testing equipment such as Doble, Megger, Omicron, and other industry-standard devices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
