Job Title: Scheduling Operations Analyst

Reports to: Director of Scheduling Operations

We excel in a highly analytical environment that processes large volumes of information. Our team utilizes market intelligence platforms to ensure accurate management of client assets in compliance with market rules. We are seeking a Scheduling Operations Analyst to play a crucial role in our Operations team, focusing on scheduling functions for various assets and markets. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven leader with a passion for managing growth and enhancing business performance. Adherence to the highest standards of ethics and integrity is essential.

Key Competencies:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Develop and maintain deep knowledge of market scheduling rules, including generation and bilateral submissions, capacity markets, outage scheduling, and renewable energy credits.
  • Data-Driven & Detail-Oriented: Utilize market expertise to assist in implementing daily bidding strategies for our clients, ensuring accuracy in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Technology Focused: Use our proprietary platform for trade capture, market integration, reporting, and analytics to drive process improvements.
  • Hands-On Leadership: Influence positive outcomes within various group dynamics.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain fundamental knowledge of all ISO market rules.
  • Ensure daily scheduling activities are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Leverage technology to manage daily processes, drive automation, and improve business outcomes.
  • Monitor ISO business rule changes and integrate them into scheduling activities.
  • Participate in ISO-sponsored training to stay updated on market changes.
  • Cross-train with other Operations team members to broaden market knowledge across functions (e.g., Settlements).
  • Collaborate with team members, including Trade Accountants, Traders, and external parties (e.g., ISO & client staff) to resolve issues promptly.
  • Work in a hybrid environment: Monday & Friday work from home, Tuesday – Thursday in the office.

Compensation:

Base Salary: $100,000 - $120,000

Bonus: 15% performance-based

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Knowledge of scheduling, settlement, and reliability rules in one or more organized markets (e.g., PJM, NYISO, ISNE, MISO, ERCOT, SPP, CAISO).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to implement new processes, multitask, and adjust priorities independently.
  • Three to five years of experience in energy scheduling, settlement, dispatch, or a related commercial energy environment preferred.
  • Technically savvy with the ability to enhance processes through automated tools.
  • Highly analytical, with a demonstrated passion for understanding market and system functions at a deep level.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required; advanced degree in business or an analytical discipline preferred.
  • Certification in PJM, ISO-NE, or NERC is a plus.
